In the Illinois Solar for All program, costs associated with home repairs and upgrades vary depending on coverage through external
funding opportunities. The ILSFA program can help you explore and apply for available external
funding opportunities to offset or cover the costs of the necessary repairs and upgrades for solar
readiness. These may include grants, low-interest or forgivable loans, assistance programs from
your city or municipality, state-wide or government programs, and home repair programs from
nonprofit organizations. Greenleaf Solar for All assists homeowners in determining if they
qualify for the ILSFA program and program benefits.
If a good-faith attempt is made and all external funding options have been exhausted, the Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative may be able to cover the cost of home repairs and upgrades through incentives offered by the ILSFA Program .
Home repairs and upgrades covered by external funding sources will vary depending on the
guidelines for each funding source.
Participants who are eligible to receive home repairs and upgrades through incentives offered to
ILSFA Approved Vendors may be able to receive the following repairs:
- Main Service Panel Replacement or Upgrade
- Meter and Riser Replacement or Upgrade
- Main Service Panel Grounding
- Water Grounding (100/200 amps)
- Solar-related Roof Work
- Full Roof Replacement

Residential Solar participants will have no upfront costs for authorized repairs and upgrades
covered under the Home Repairs and Upgrades initiative. If your home repair needs are outside
the items listed above, Greenleaf Solar for All will coordinate with the ILSFA team to assist you in
finding outside funding.
Yes, all home repairs and upgrades covered in coordination with an Approved Vendor in the
